Ice Age National Scientific Reserve Unit case file, 1950-[ongoing]

Records about the nine units across Wisconsin that comprise the Ice Age Reserve. These areas are considered part of the National Park System although owned and administered by the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources. The records include background information, correspondence with the federal government on property selection and reasons for designation of each reserve unit, information on special geological and landscape features, maps, and supporting materials. The files may also include master plans and environmental impact statements.
